Louise Florence Bagnell, 75, of Sydney, passed away at home on Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010.
Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Roderick J. and Maude MacLean.
She was a member of Sacred Heart parish; serving sister with St. John Ambulance for 25 years, as a volunteer at many functions and was a cook at Breton Bay for 10 years. She also worked in many furniture stores in the Sydney area for many years.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen (Doug) Ross, Dartmouth; sons, Bruce, Halifax, Glen, Mira, Gary (Denise Wilkinson), Northside East Bay, Lee (Darlene), Lower Sackville; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, John D. and sister, Ruth MacKenzie.
Visitation for Louise Bagnell will take place at T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church with Fr. Anthony O\'Connor officiating. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Nova Scotia Heart & Stroke Foundation or a charity of choice.
