AUSTIN, MARGARET - Margaret Violet (Preston) Austin was called home by her heavenly father on March 30, 2013. Born July 5, 1921 in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Grace (Steward) Preston and wife of the late Robert (Ted) Austin. She leaves three sons, Gary Robert (Gabriella) of Saint John, Donald (Sharon) of Musquash and Ronald of Saint John; Mary Kill of Vancouver. She also leaves many grandchildren, great-grand-children and great-great grandchildren; sister Isobel Carr and brother Reg Preston. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sisters Ruth King and Janet Perry, brother George Preston and friend Gil Arsenault. Margaret and Ted owned and operated Austin’s Motorcycle service for more than 45 years. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend and was always doing for others. She taught 4H for 7 years and was a Chartered Member of the Spruce Lake WI. Marg loved being at her camp, crocheting and making crafts.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). By request there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday April 2, 2013 at 1 p.m. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Ext. Cemetery. The family would appreciate donations made to World Vision, SPCA or the charity of the donor’s choice.
