Passed peacefully away at the Agnes Pratt Nursing Home on Friday, March 29, 2013, Ernest Pike aged 76 years. Predeceased by his parents: Ernest Pike Sr. and Amelia Pike; brothers: David and William Pike; and sister, May Pike. Leaving to mourn with fond and cherished memories, his loving wife of 46 years, Marjorie (nee Percy); and his son, Andrew Pike; as well many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Ernest was a well-loved and well-respected retired teacher, and will be missed by all who knew him. Special thank you to the caring staff at Agnes Pratt Nursing Home. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Monday, April 1, from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m., and on Tuesday, April 2, from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from Barrett’s Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at 2:00 p.m., with interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
