GODFRAY, Sarah Maria 85- of South Ohio, died March 28, 2013 at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia on August 30, 1927 she was a daughter to the late John and Maria (McWilliams) Finlay. Sarah was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who loved her family and grand kids dearly. Sarah and her sister Nelly were practically inseparable. One of Sarah’s favorite activities was to take a drive in the car. Although Sarah was not a member of the Pleasant Valley United Baptist church she regularly enjoy attending services there. Sarah is survived by her loving son, Darrell (Linda) Carleton, Yarmouth Co.; sister, Nelly Godfrey; grandchildren, Paul (lorie) and Jason (Jodi) ; and great grandchildren, Kiersten, Lauren, Brooke and Luke. Besides her parents she is predeceased by her husband, Edward Godfray; brothers, Bobbie and Bill; and granddaughter, Mandy. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny's Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. There was no visitation by family request. A funeral service was held Sunday, March 31, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Valley United Baptist Church with rev. Mike Cannell officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in memory may be made to the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
