BABINEAU, LÉON J. - (1930 - 2013) - RICHIBUCTO, NB - Léon J. Babineau 82, of Richibucto passed away peacefully at the Stella Maris Hospital, Ste. Anne de Kent on Sunday, March 31, 2013. Born in Saint-Louis-de-Kent, NB, he was the son of the late Napoleon and late Dométhilde (Daigle) Babineau. Before retiring, he was employed as a bartender at the Richibucto Legion Branch # 30 for many years, and also worked as a carpenter. Léon will be sadly missed by his son; Mark Babineau (Tatanya) of Richibucto, two granddaughters; Karley and Kayla Babineau and one brother; Joseph Babineau (Hilda) of Musquodoboit Harbour, NS. Léon was predeceased by his wife; Bertha (Mazerolle) Babineau, one grandson; Brandon, six brothers; Sylvain, Olivier, Dominic, François, Laurent, infant Olivier and five sisters; Yvonne, Marguerite, Lydia, Elvina, Victime.
Resting at Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto with visitation on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm, Thursday 10:00 am until time of funeral. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, April 4th, 2013 at 12:30 pm, St. Louis de Gonzague Roman Catholic Church, Richibucto. Donations in Léon's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Society, The Kidney Foundation or Cancer Society. Arrangements are in care of Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).
