Stewart Arthur Eagles, 80, passed away peacefully on Feb. 5, 2010. Born in Londonderry on Sept. 16, 1929, he was the son of the late Harry Eagles Sr. and Laura (Brown) Eagles. He was predeceased by his wife, Thelma (Rushton); son, Timmy; longtime companion Violet Eagles; sisters, Loretta, Tish, Jean and Dorothy; and brothers, Newton, Bruce, Harry Jr., and Walter. Stewart is survived by his sister, Peg (Donald) Turner, Truro; son, Morris (Eileen) Eagles, East Village; daughter, Donna (Richard) Joseph, Truro; grandson, David (Amy) Eagles, Debert; and numerous other grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at a later date at Hillcrest Cemetary with reception to follow at Londonderry School. No flowers by family request. Donations may be made in Stewart's memory to Hillcrest Cemetary.
