Passed peacefully away on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 in the presence of her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer, Kathleen Taylor in her 62nd year of Kelligrews (formerly of Holyrood). Predeceased by her parents: John Leo & Nora Penney; her in-laws Louis & Hattie Taylor; brother-in-law David Taylor & sister-in-law Linda Parsons. Left with fond and loving memories are her devoted husband of 39 years Gerald; son, Justin (Jennifer); daughter, Wanda Lee (James Rideout); two precious grandchildren: Zachary Taylor & Dylan Rideout; brother Fred Penney (Cathy) deceased; sisters: Mary Boland (Michael) deceased; Anne Kelly (John), Marian Fitzgerald (Jim), & Madonna Churchill (Russell) her sister-in-law, Shirley Bradbury (Reg), Jean Oates (Wal), Carol Taylor (Frank); her cousin & best friend Christine Leonard & her family. Kathleen was loved & embraced by many nieces, nephews and & large circle of extended family and friends. Resting at Dunphy’s Funeral Home, Holyrood. Visitation on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 from 2 - 4 p.m. & 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral to take place on Thursday, April 4, 2013 from Holy Cross Church, Holyrood at 10:30 a.m. Cremation to follow. Inurnment in SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Chapel’s Cove at a later date. Donations in her memory may be made to Holy Cross Parish Memorial/Restoration Fund or to the Dr. H Bliss Cancer Centre.
