It is with great sadness that the family of the late RITA MARY HALEY of Lawn, NL, announces her passing at the U.S. Memorial Hospital in St. Lawrence, on Friday, March 29, 2013, at the age of 93. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are: Sons – Mike of Lawn, Peter of Lawn, Alphonse (Jackie) of Lawn, Eric of Lawn, Mario (Patti) of St. John’s & Wayne of St. Lawrence; Daughter – Tina Turpin (Dean) of CBS; 18 Grandchildren; 26 Great-Grandchildren; plus a large circle of other relatives and friends. A special thank you to her caregiver Anne Flannigan and all the staff at the U.S. Memorial Hospital. Pre-deceased by her husband – Peter; Daughter – Sheila; Grandson – Josh; Daughter-in-law - Rose.

The Mass of Christian Burial took place at Holy Name of Jesus R.C. Church in Lawn, on Monday, April 1, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. Interment followed at Holy Name of Jesus Cemetery in Lawn. In Rita’s memory donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or flowers gratefully accepted.
