Our beloved mother, Millicent Pauline MacDonald passed away at the age of 85 in Halifax on April 2, 2013.
She was born in Sydney on Dec. 10, 1927.
She was predeceased by her parents, Horatio and Mae Champion; husband, Leonard and brothers, Howard, Milton and Ed.
She is survived by her loving family: sister, Vida Anthony, Elmsdale; brother, Bill (Sandra) Champion, Sydney; daughters, Janice (John) MacKay, Bedford and Deborah Xidos, Halifax; son Bruce (Dianne Garry) MacDonald, Winlaw, B.C.; grandchildren, Aliesja, Melissa, Andree, Tessa, Eleni, Emmanuel, Kyle and Ian and great-grandchildren, Madden, Amelia, Jack and Ryan.
The family would like to extend a warm thank you to Pauline’s friends as well as the staff at Melville Gardens in Halifax. A graveside service and reception will be held in Sydney later this spring.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
