Aurèle Lavigne
LAVIGNE, AURÈLE - Aurèle Lavigne, 86, of Moncton, passed away on Thursday April 4, 2013 at the Moncton Hospital. Born on July 5, 1926 in Robertville, NB, he was the son of the late David and Claire (Haché) Lavigne. Aurèle loved golfing, woodworking, carpentry and was a life member of the Moncton Lions Club. He is survived by his wife for 55 years, Lorette (Melanson); four children: Anne McGraw (Danny) and Michel (Monique), both of Moncton, Léonard (Danièle) of Allardville and Lisa Rivett of Fredericton; six grandchildren: Pascal, Maxime, Emmanuel, Jessica, Natasha and Nicholas; one great-grandson, Jace; two sisters: Cecile Young (Vernon) and Rita Legacy (Lawrence), both of Bathurst; four brothers: Edgar (Lillian) of Bathurst, Norman (Jeannette) of Dieppe, Arthur of North Tetagouche and John (Cathy) of Fredericton. He was predeceased by one sister, Corinne Leger; two brothers: Benoit and Henry. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of the Moncton Hospital for the excellent care provided to Aurèle.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 10 a.m. until time of departure (10:45). The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Bernard’s R.C. Church, 43 Botsford Street, Moncton, on Monday, April 8, 2013 at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.
