Passed peacefully away after a lengthy illness at the Health Sciences Centre on Saturday, April 6, 2013. James Joseph Kennedy, aged 77 years, of Petty Harbour. Predeceased by his parents: James and Monica; his sister Mary Stokes and nephew Paul Kennedy. Leaving to mourn, his loving and devoted wife of 40 years, Gert; his step-children: Michael Hickey (Judy), Nelson Hickey, Ron Hickey (Linda Turner), Cynthia Woods (Darren) and David Hickey (Jackie). Also ten grandchildren: David, Candace, Tyler, Jessie, Adam, Darren, Joshua, Kevin, Colin and James; his brother William (Murial); his sister
Sr. Elizabeth (Presentation Sisters) and brother-in-law Leslie D. Stokes of Florida. As well as a large number of nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law, family and friends; including special friends: Mike and Gen Hearn and their family.
