JOHN THOMAS BILLARD
May 27, 1960 – April 9, 2013

It is with great sadness that the family of the late John Thomas Billard announces his passing on Tuesday, April 9 at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre at the age of 52 years. Born at Port aux Basques, John was the son of the late Solomon and Susanna Billard. He was predeceased by his brother Ivan, sister Caroline, mother and father-in-law Dorothy and John Kendall. He leaves to mourn with many fond and precious memories his family: loving wife Jeanette (nee Kendall) of 31 years, only daughter Susan (Ryan) Harvey Margaree, the apple of Poppy's eye his granddaughter Ava. He will remain forever in the hearts of his brothers and sisters, Wilson (Norma), Earl (Pauline), Jerry (Neita), Vivian (George), Miriam (George), Christopher, Darryl (Amanda) all of Isle aux Morts, Stacey (John) Port aux Basques, Louise (Henry), Margaret (Blandford), Clyde (Valenia) all of Burnt Islands, George Windsor N.S, Solomon (Maggie) Halifax N.S. He will also be sadly missed by his brothers and sisters-in-law Leslie Kendall, Philip Kendall, Larry (Lorena) Kendall, Shirley (Chesley) Osmond all of Margaree, Gordon Kendall, Nancy Dodge (Dave) both of Port aux Basques, Vivian (Edward) McQuarrie Doyles, and a large circle of nieces, nephews, and many friends. Visitation took place on Wednesday evening and continued on Thursday and Friday at St. Augustine's Anglican Church in Margaree. Funeral services took place on Saturday April 13, 2 p.m. at St. Augustine's Anglican Church officiated by Rev. Maryrose Colbourne. Interment followed at Hillside Haven Cemetery, Isle aux Morts Road.
