McINTYRE, SANDRA – It is with great sadness that the family of Sandra McIntyre of Saint John, NB announce her unexpected passing on Friday, April 12th, 2013. Born 1947, in Glasgow, Scotland, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Helen McIntyre. She immigrated to Canada in 1961 with her parents, brothers and sisters. Sandra worked for many years as a waitress at restaurants around Saint John but her greatest joy was being a mother and grandmother. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and was a super fantastic cook. She is survived by her daughter Sarah (John Clark); granddaughter Catherine; sisters Helen Stewart (Bob), Sophia McIntyre, Susan Cole (Randy), Theresa Blizzard (David); brothers Charles (Lynne), Bernard (Heather), and a great many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). Per request from the family there will be no visitation. A Celebration of Sandra’s Life will take place on Tuesday, April 16th at 2 p.m. at the home of her sister Susan at 1600 Golden Grove Road, Saint John. Donations in memory of Sandra can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick, Diabetes Association or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
