KLEMM, Monika – Townsview Estates, Truro, where she had been a resident for a number of years, passed away peacefully Friday, February 12, 2010, in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro, following a lengthy illness. Born in Hamburg, Germany, she was a daughter of the late Willi and Maria (Wagner) Klemm. She emigrated to Canada in 1981 to work in hospitality with her sister, Bela, and brother-in-law, George Casson. She later pursued her vocation in Saint John before returning to Truro. Monika is survived by her sisters, Bela (George) Casson, Truro; Susie, Switzerland; brother, Peter, Germany; nephews, Ulf, Marcus, Niels; nieces, Kerrin, Patricia, Stephanie, Ann Sandrine; five great nephews. Monika’s family is very grateful to the management and staff of Townsview Estates for their friendship and care during her stay, the staff on the fourth floor of Colchester Regional Hospital, Dr. Mary Feltmate and the team of specialists who provided compassionate and exceptional care during her illness. Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. A celebration of Monika’s life will be held at a later date. If so desired, donations in Monika’s memory to Colchester Regional Hospital Foundation are welcomed.
