The death occurred peacefully at the Garden Nursing Home on Monday, July 7, 2008, of Mrs. Helena McCormick (nee Shepard) of Charlottetown, age 90 years. Beloved wife of the late John McCormick. Dear mother of Ron (Bev) McCormick, Don (Sandra) McCormick, and Sheila (Harold) Pineau. She will also be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Ronnie, Michael, Greg, Kathy and Michelle McCormick, Lynn Smith, Stephen McCormick, Elizabeth Clark and Rosemary MacKinnon; and eight great-grandchildren and her sister, Frances Ford. She was predeceased by her son, Brian, and brothers Leo and Ronnie Shepard. Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home from where a private funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow in the family plot at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. If so desired, memorial donations in Helena’s memory may be made to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation.
