NEW GLASGOW – Donald Francis Hubert, age 70 of Vale Rd., New Glasgow, passed away on Tuesday, April 16th, 2013 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Francis and Jeannette (DeCoste) Hubert.
Donald was a life long resident of New Glasgow. During his working life he was employed with I. Matheson, Johnson and MacDonald Wholesalers and Westway Pontiac. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church. Donald was an avid sports fan, especially supporting the Montreal Canadiens, he also enjoyed bowling.
Surviving are his wife the former Audrey DeGruchy; brothers, Ray Hubert, New Glasgow; Wayne (Margie) Hubert, Thorburn; a nephew Mark and a niece Carrie.
The family will receive visitors from 7-9 p.m. on Friday in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, 256 King St., New Glasgow. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Saturday at 11 a.m. from Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church with Father Peter MacDonald officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
Donations in Donald’s memory may be made to the Palliative Care Society of the Aberdeen Hospital.
