At the Maplewood Manor, Alberton, on Tuesday, April 16, 2013, of James Arnett (Buddy) Delaney, formerly of Brae, age 78 years. Beloved husband to Helen (nee Gray) Delaney. Born at the Brae on Aug. 12, 1934, he was the son of the late James and Stella Rose (nee MacPhee) Delaney. Dear father to Diane (Michael Perry) of Waterford; Michael Alan (Pattie Silliker) of Pigeon Lake, Alta.; Donna Lynn (Trevor Livingstone) of Grand Prairie, Alta. Dear brother to Eileen Doyle of Charlottetown. Loving grandfather to Christopher Phillips, Kristin DeCourcey, Jeremy Phillips, Bruce Perry, Caleb Livingstone. Great-grandfather to Keira, Hanna, Carson, Aiden. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Audrey and Jim MacFarlane of Alberton; Walter and Audrey Gray of Portage; Linda and Raeford Rogers of Glenngarry; Peggy and Gordon Sharpe of Alberton; Betty and Donna Robinson of Coleman; Adney and Neva Gray of O’Leary. He was predeceased by daughters Darlene and Tammy, as well as brothers and sister, Richard, Emmerson, Jackie and Mildred. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton, from where a private funeral for family will be held on Friday morning at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Ewen Moase officiating. Interment to follow in the Brae United Church Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy memorials to the Brae United Church Cemetery Fund would be gratefully appreciated.
