HARRINGTON, MURIEL L. - Muriel L. Harrington, 89, of Oakville, Ontario and formerly of People’s Park Tower, Moncton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 15, 2012. Born in Campbellton, she was the daughter of the late William and Laura (Shannon) Walsh. Muriel was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and was a friend to all. She attended Holy Family Roman Catholic Church and was a former member of the CWL. Muriel had a special affection for animals, especially dogs and cats and enjoyed socializing with her family and friends. Muriel will be sadly missed by her loving daughters, Heather Alexander (Paul) of Hartsville, South Carolina and Maureen Dodds (David) of Oakville, Ontario; cherished grandchildren, Gregory Alexander (Cissy), Scott Alexander (Jody), John Alexander (Ellyn), Laura Dodds and Steven Dodds; precious great grandchildren, Ella, Anna and Caleb. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents, Muriel was predeceased by her husband, Scott Harrington (1996); brothers and sister, Arnold, George, Rita and Bill.
A funeral Mass for Muriel will take place at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 11:00 am, with Rev. Phil Mulligan officiating. Reception following the Mass. Interment, Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) in care of arrangements.
