ANNIE ELLIOTT

Mrs. Annie McMillan Elliott, age 93, a life-long resident of Moose Jaw, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2013. Born November 4, 1919 in Glasgow, Scotland, she immigrated to Canada with her parents at the age of three, settling in Moose Jaw. She attended William Grayson and Ross Public Schools, and Central Collegiate High School. Annie married during WWII and had one son, Brian. In her later years, she managed several ladies wear shops and was known for the fashion shows held at the Moose Jaw Co-op and broadcast live on CHAB, hosted by radio personality Cy Knight. She remarried in 1969 to Jack Elliott, an Inspector with the Moose Jaw City Police. Predeceased by her parents, her husbands Peter Joseph Sitter and Harold John “Jack” Elliott, brother David Ironsides Pyle, and sister Jean (Pyle) Thompson. She is survived by her son Brian Sitter of Surprise, AZ; and numerous nieces and nephews, ranging from Calgary, AB to Halifax, NS. The Funeral Service will be held at W.J.Jones & Son Chapel on Saturday April 20, 2013 at 1:30 pm. Reverend Jim Tenford will officiate. Interment will take place at Rosedale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Moose Jaw Health Foundation, 455 Fairford St.E., Moose Jaw, S6H 1H3, would be appreciated.
