Gander, formerly of Hampden, NL. Passed away suddenly in Gander, on Wednesday, April 17th, 2013, at the age of 68. Leaving to mourn wife Ruby (nee Osmond); son Shane (Melanie); sister Peggy (Calvin Gale); brothers: Allan (Isabelle), Roy (Faith), Alex (Carol); brother-in-law Eugene Osmond (Marie); special friends: Rose & Howard Banks, Jiggs & Nita Anstey and a large circle of family & friends. George was predeceased by his parents: John and Dorcas (nee Gavin); niece Nikki Gale and mother-in-law Millicent Osmond. The family will be receiving family and friends at the Anglican Church of the Epiphany, Hampden, NL, on Saturday, April 20th, 2013 and Sunday, April 21st, 2013 from the hours of 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm, where also the funeral service will take place on Monday, April 22nd, 2013 at 2 pm with Rev. Marlene Leggo officiating, with the burial to follow at the Church cemetery in the Rooms. Flowers and or donations can be made to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation in George's memory would be gratefully appreciated by the families.
