Marjorie Cloney

It is with deep sadness that we must announce the peaceful passing of our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, Marjorie Cloney, age 94 , of Oxford, NS. Marjorie passed away at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre on Thursday, April 18, 2013, with her family present.
Born in Mount Pleasant, NS, she was a daughter of the Late Edmond and Lil (Simpson) Mattinson.
Marjorie was a member of the Mount Pleasant United Church, and later the Trinity United Church, Oxford, and the United Church Women. She served in several positions within the Colfax Rebekah Lodge #6 from where she received her 50 Year Jewel. She was a very active person all through her life and loved to paint, do crosswords, and especially devote time to her family.
She will be sadly missed by her daughter Carolyn Graham, Dartmouth; son-in-law David Stevens, Oxford Junction; grandchildren, Krista (Deiter) Warwick, Oxford, Anne (Rob) Grant, Three Fathom Harbour, NS, David Graham, Dartmouth, Elizabeth Graham, Redlands, California, Rosalyn Graham, Dartmouth; 3 great grandchildren, Bethany, Brianna, and Brandon.
She was predeceased by her husband Russell; daughter Belle Stevens; son-in-law Robert Graham; great grandson Gary Warwick; brothers, Carl and Robbie; sisters, Nina Carolan and Grace Mixon.
Arrangements have been entrusted to W Allen Funeral Home, 60 Water St., Oxford, NS (902-447-2361). Cremation has taken place. At Marjorie's request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A family committal service will be held at a later date in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
