Mabel Palmer Tower
Tower, Mabel Palmer, 96, Truro, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2013 at the Mira Long Term Care Centre, Truro. Born in Dorchester Cape, NB, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Lena (Buck) Fillmore. Mabel enjoyed playing the piano and was a great cook. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She is survived by her son Glenn of Truro; daughter Judy Blois of Dartmouth; grandson Lee of Truro.
She was predeceased by her husband Curtis Glenn Tower; brothers, Raymond, Victor, Everett; sister, Mary.
Visitation will take place on Monday from 2-4pm and funeral service Tuesday, April 30th, at 2: 00 pm all in the Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. Pastor Ken Fillmore will officiate with burial to follow in Bible Hill Cemetery, Bible Hill. Family flowers only. Donations in Mabel’s memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to a charity of choice.
