At the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince Edward Home on Sunday, July 13, 2008, of Mr. Ambrose R. “Amby’’ Hyde of New Dominion, aged 71 years. Beloved husband of the late Faye Katherine Hyde (nee MacPhail), and dear father of Pamela Faye Hyde (John Doherty) of Toronto, Ont., Lloyd Ambrose (Jane) Hyde of Oakville, Ont., and Lorie Ann Faye (Michael) Beauchamp of North Carolina, U.S. Ambrose will also be sadly missed but fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Alicia, Sean, Rachel, Calvin, and Eamon; great-granddaughter, Taylor Faye; his brothers and sisters, James (Ann) Hyde of Ontario, Laura (Alwin) Lund of Truro, Nova Scotia, Norma (Edward) Murray, of Cornwall, P.E.I., Mary (Alfred) Sherren of Cornwall, P.E.I., and John ‘Jack’ Hyde of Sask.; special friend, Anne Walton; and his numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his wife, Faye, he was predeceased by his infant sister Miriam. Resting at the Cutcliffe Funeral Home from where the funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday morning, July 18 at 11 a.m., Reverend Steven Stead officiating. Interment to follow in the family plot at the Hyde-Crosby Cemetery. If so desired, memorials in Amby’s memory can be made to the Prince Edward Home-Palliative Care Garden Project or the Prince Edward Island division of the Canadian Red Cross.
