Church, Bertram Charles “Charlie”, 75, of Vaughan, Hants Co., passed away peacefully on April 24, 2013, at the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor, surrounded by love. Born on May 1, 1937, in Windsor, he was the son of the late Cephas and Lenora (Swinimer) Church. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, the former Rhoda Wile; daughter, Rhonda Church, Windsor; sons, Christopher (Rhonda), Bridgewater; Robin (Sam Lertpanyaphinitkit), Toronto; Mark (Cathy), Three Mile Plains; Shawn (Mary-Jo), Sydney; Adam, Ottawa; grandchildren, Benjamin, Sophie, Dimitri, Noah and Luka Church; brother, Ted, Fredericton; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Flossie Church-Allen; Nelsie Bond, Alma Peacock and Pearl Coyde; brothers, Kenneth and Bob. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses, physicians and staff of Hants Community Hospital for their compassionate care during Charlie's final illness. Funeral service was 2 p.m. Saturday, April 27, 2013, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home Chapel, 194 King Street, Windsor (902) 798-2232. Pastor Craig Faulkner officiated, with interment in the Vaughans United Church Cemetery, New Ross Road, Vaughans, followed by a reception at the Vaughans Fire Hall. Family flowers only.
