Burton Edward Croft, 57, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, April 26, 2013. Born December 5, 1955 in Liverpool, Queens County, Nova Scotia, he was the son of the late James Croft and Vivian (Mansfield) (Croft) Berry. Burton was a loving, caring husband, father and grandfather (Papa), with a kind, generous heart and was always helping others. He is survived by his wife Ellen, son Eddy (Shannon) of Brampton, daughter Lisa (Ryan) Rocha of Barrie and grandchildren Marissa, Madison, Braiden, Kaitlyn, Ethan, and Sophie whom he loved very dearly. Also survived by sisters Pat (Millage) Weace of Shelburne, NS, Elizabeth “Libby” (Paul) Wilson of Brampton, Joyce (Larry) McDow of New Ross, NS, Debbie (Willy) Kempton of Caledonia, NS and brothers James (Teresa) Croft of Utopia, ON, Wayne (Charlene) Berry of Brampton, ON, Johnny (Angela) Berry of Caledonia, NS. Burton was predeceased by his brother Richard, sister Maxine and stepfather Murray Berry. Special thanks to Dr. Blachford and nurses Jackie and Leanne for their compassionate care. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at 4pm at the Ward Funeral Home, 52 Main Street South (Hwy 10) Brampton, ON. Cremation to follow.
