Formerly of New Zealand, in her 97th year. Beloved wife of the late Charles Gregory, loving and gentle mother of Mary Jean Amos (Terry deceased) of Montreal, George (Lois) Gregory of Rollo Bay, Melford Gregory (Dolly deceased) of Kensington, Mae Kielly (Mike deceased) of Toronto, Lorraine (Dan) Byrne of Morell, Margaret Byrne (Leonard deceased) of Morell, D.J. (Debbie) Gregory of Rollo Bay, Lorna (Keith) Jennings of Charlottetown, Melvina Gallant (Johnny deceased) of New Zealand and daughter in law; Irene Gregory of Charlottetown. Remembering her with love and affection are her 43 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Renilda was predeceased by her husband Charles, her sons; Eddie, Sinnott, Kenneth, Everett and grandchildren; Bradley Gregory, Mary Doucette, Kimberly Byrne, Charles (Chuckie) Amos, Shawn Evan Gregory, daughter-in-law; Dolly Gregory, sons-in-law; Terry Amos, Mike Kielly, Johnny Gallant and Leonard Byrne. Renilda is the last surviving member of the Mallard family. She was predeceased by her parents William and Melvina (nee Hanlon) Mallard and 10 brothers and four sisters. Resting at the Dingwell Funeral Home in Souris for visiting hours on Sunday, May 5, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Monday, May 6, 2013 from 12 p.m. until funeral time. Funeral to be held on Monday afternoon at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Souris for funeral mass to be celebrated at 1 p.m. Interment in St. Alexis Cemetery in Rollo Bay.
