It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Isabel Docherty Brewster on Sunday, May 5, 2013, at home.
Born in New Victoria, she was the daughter of the late John and Anne Docherty.
Ma was a member of the ladies auxiliary at the Army and Navy. She enjoyed playing darts, watching birds and her favourite show, Coronation Street.
She is survived by her children, Beverly, Marie, Raymond (Diane), Theresa (George), Sandra (Charles), Pamela (Parvez), Shane (Sonya), Paddy (Valerie); brother, John Docherty; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband, Raymond, daughter, Rachel, sister, Theresa, one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.
A special thanks to Ma’s angel, who prayed with her. Thanks to the palliative care nurses and doctors, the VON, caregiver, Pamela and her friend, Maxine.
There will be no visitation by request. A private family service at a later date.
