NEW GLASGOW – William “Bill” Douglas Martin, 64 of North Provost Street, New Glasgow, passed away on Friday, May 3, 2013 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Montreal, he was a son of the late William and Janet (Melvin) Martin.
Bill was a resident of New Glasgow since 1988. During his working career Bill worked as a paramedic. He enjoyed working with stained glass and photography. While living in Ontario Bill was a volunteer fireman and also taught first aid. Bill was a member of The Masters Hand Ministry.
Surviving are his wife the former Diane (Golding); a son Brent, New Glasgow; sisters Donna Martin and Susan Johnston, both of Ontario.
He was predeceased by his parents and a daughter Patricia Martin, a sister Heather White.
A public memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 11 a.m. from the H.W. Angus Funeral Home Chapel, 256 King St., New Glasgow.
