Irvine Brewer
BREWER, IRVINE FRANCIS - Irvine F. Brewer of Brewer's Mills, NB passed away May 10, 2013 at the Veterans Health Unit, Fredericton, NB. Irvine was born at Morehouse Corner, NB in 1923, a son of the late Burton and Edna (White) Brewer. He was a veteran of the Second World War. Irvine joined the Millville Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion in 1950 and was a past president and officer, Sergeant-at-Arms and District Commander. In 1993 he was presented the Palm Leaf to Meritorious Service Medal. Irvine is survived by a sister-in-law, Myrtle Crouse, Fredericton, NB; a brother-in-law, Lorne Merrithew (Rose), Burtts Corner, NB; three cousins, Phyllis Morehouse, Zealand, NB, Doris Hanson and Leo Brewer (Freda), both of Lower Hainesville, NB; special friends, Brenda and Stuart Knox, Greenhill Lake, NB; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Georgina (Merrithew) Brewer; and a sister, Margaret Price.
Visiting hours will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic, NB on Monday from 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Arnold Godsoe officiating. A reception will be held at the funeral home. Interment will follow at St. Paul's Anglican Cemetery, Zealand, NB. A Royal Canadian Legion tribute service will be held Monday evening at 7:00 pm by members of Millville Branch 59. Pallbearers will be Leo Brewer, Edward Merrithew, Monty Merrithew, Stuart Knox, Brian Brewer and Steven Wade.
