At the palliative care unit of Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Friday, May 10, 2013, following a courageous battle with cancer of Mary Kay Sentner of Alberton, age 66 years. Beloved wife of the late John Emmettt Sentner, who predeceased her in 1978. Born at Alberton on April 29, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Albert (Bud) and Isabel (nee Perry) Clark. Loving mother to John and his wife Helen of Summerside, grandmother to Jeremy and great-grandmother to Peyton. Dear sister to Lily Beth Oliver of Huntley and sister-in-law to Miriam Thomson of O’Leary; Percy (Norma) Sentner of O'Leary; Verouse (Helen) Sentner of Cape Wolfe; Elizabeth (Betty) Grant of Vernon River; Arlene (Douglas) Smith of O'Leary; David (Bonnarae) Sentner of Piusville; Emily (David) Ellsworth of St. Lawrence; Linda (Percy) Manuel of Alberta; Gary (Rhoda) Sentner of St. Lawrence; Marlene Sentner of Alberton and Reg Oliver of Huntley. She will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her father and mother-in- law, Emmett and Frances Sentner and by brother and sisters-in-law, Kenneth Thomson, Leota Sentner, Edgar Sentner, John Weatherbie, William Grant, niece, Evelyn Oliver and by nephew Lonie Sentner. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. No visiting hours by personal request. Funeral Tuesday May 14 from the Gordon Memorial United Church, Alberton, at 3 p.m. Rev. Lynn McKinnon officiating. Interment to follow in the family plot at Woodlawn Cemetery, Alberton.
