JANES, BARBARA LORRAINE - With her family at her side, the death of Barbara Janes, wife of the late Allan "Dick" Janes occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Saturday, May 18, 2013. She was born June 8, 1940 to the late Reuben and Minnie (Reynolds) Tucker. Barbara worked at NBTel for over 30 years until her retirement. She is survived by her son, David (Jennifer) of Willow Grove; step-daughters: Beverly Calvin of Grand Bay-Westfield and Susan Gilles (Jim) of Fredericton; step-sons: Ross Janes (Margie) of Willow Grove, Peter Janes of Fredericton and Richard Janes (Marie) of Calgary, AB; brother, Wilfred Tucker (Lois); sisters: Winnifred Chisholm, Vera Gillis (Gordon), Valerie McCaskill (Peter) and Marilyn McPherson; 10 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Barbara was predeceased by her husband; parents; and sisters: Trudy Keith and Joyce Palmer.
Arrangements are under the care of Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). There is no formal visitation, however the Funeral Service will be held from Brenan's Chapel on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 10:00 am. Interment will take place following the service in Fernhill Cemetery.
