Catherine Anne Hoare, 56 of Brother Street, New Glasgow, passed away May 20, 2013 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Ottawa, she was a daughter of Marie (Brandemore) Fortier and the late Ernie Fortier.
Catherine was a two time cancer survivor who enjoyed spending time with her sons and grandchildren.
Surviving besides her mother Marie Fortier, Trenton, Ontario; are her sons Chris, Halifax; Ricky (Janice), New Glasgow; twin sons, Peter (Tina), Calgary; Collin (Megan MacKenzie), Calgary; grandchildren: Breanna Osmond, Lovey Hoare, Melina and Hailie, a brother Rick, Mississauga; sisters: Sheila Fortier (Henry), Beverly (Fred), Christine all of Toronto; several nieces and nephews, also by her dear friend John.
She was predeceased by her father Ernie Fortier and a grandson Alex Hoare.
Cremation to take place.
The family will receive visitors from 10 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Friday in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home Chapel, New Glasgow, from where a memorial service will be held 11 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson presiding.
Memorial donations in memory of Catherine may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
