JENSEN, SADIE IRENE - At her residence, May 25, 2013, Mrs. Sadie Irene Jensen of New Denmark passed away at the age of 85 years. She was the wife of the late Gilbert Jensen. Born at New Denmark in 1927, she was the daughter of the late Valdamar and Agnes Antonia (Neilsen) Jensen. She is survived by five daughters, Jane Hansen (Carrol) of New Denmark, Charlotte Ruest (Maurice) of Grand Falls, Shirley McGowan (Jim) and Betty Pelletier (Richard) of New Denmark and Marsha LaFrance (John) of Whitecourt, AB; four sons, Hans Franklin (Charlotte) of New Denmark, Dale of Fort McMurray, AB, Davie (Lori) of Calgary and Paul (Debbie) of New Denmark; sister-in-law, Elva Jensen-Rioux of New Denmark; 21 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three grandsons, Benjamin and Robert DeLong and Stephen Richard Junior Pelletier; three brothers, Carl Wade and Peter and Walter Jensen.
Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with visiting hours on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Her funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 28 at 2:00 pm from St. Ansgar's Anglican Church, New Denmark with Rev. Kent Greer officiating. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
