The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Wednesday, July 23, 2008, of H. Margaret Newson ( nee Matheson ) of 418 Maple Grove Road, Summerside, P.E.I., aged 90 years. Margaret was born on January 31, 1918, in Rose Valley, P.E.I., to her late parents, John and Hannah (nee MacDonald) Matheson. Beloved wife of the late Arthur W. Newson and loving mother of Carlyle (Hazel), Deryl (Carol Ann) and Arlene (Gordon) Kent, all of Summerside. Also lovingly remembered by her four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Survived by her brother, Malcolm Matheson of Charlottetown. Besides her husband and her parents, Margaret was predeceased by her daughter, Janet Newson, and her sister, Maude Matheson. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside, until Monday, July 28, for funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. Interment to take place in People’s Cemetery, Summerside.
