Rita LeBlanc
LeBLANC, RITA - Rita LeBlanc, 92, of Dieppe, formerly of Lewisville, passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at the Villa du Repos in Moncton. Born on May 15, 1921 in Saint-Anselme, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Léonie (Landry) LeBlanc. Prior to her retirement, Rita worked at Sears and was a past member of the St. John Ambulance, the Beauséjour Curling Club and the Moncton Golf & Country Club. She loved dancing and bowling and enjoyed travelling. She is survived by one daughter, Patsy Poirier (late Paul) of Moncton; one son, Terry of Moncton; seven grandchildren: Janice, Ginette, Lisa, Tammy, Michel, Patrick and Thomas; two great-grandchildren: Alexandre and Nicolas; many nieces, nephews and a special person, Gisèle. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by her husband, Leonard (2002); three sisters: Anna, Doris and Aline; five brothers: Alfred, Léo, Roméo, Narcisse and Arthur.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm only. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Saint-Louis-de-France R.C. Church, 5 Pleasant Street, Moncton on Monday, June 3, 2013 at 11 am. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary cemetery, Dieppe. In memory of Rita, a contribution to the Alzheimer Society or to the Providence Foundation (Villa du Repos) would be appreciated.
