Passed peacefully away at his residence on Thursday, May 30, 2013, Walter Brown of Cavendish, aged 72 years. Predeceased by his parents, William and Elsie; brothers, Paul and William; sisters, Lorraine Mercer and Ruth Tilley; father-in-law, Elias Jackson; mother-in-law, Elsie Jackson; sisters-in-law, Susan McConnell and Muriel Jackson; brothers-in-law, Don Jackson, Hubert Stokes, Max Mercer, Rick McConnell and Ray Tilley. Leaving to mourn are his wife of 53 years, Emma; son, Dennis (Carolyn); daughters, Cathy (Don), Kim (Lorne); grandsons, Wayne (Candice), Justin (Meaghan), Jason (Jennifer), Steven (Kyla); granddaughters, Jessica (John), Alicia (Jonathon), Deanne (Jason); great-grandchildren, Emma, Lucy, Joshua, Lilly, Sadie; brother, Dennis (Ruth); sisters, Olive, Elaine (Fred); brothers-in-law, Chester (Yvonne), Gordon (Florence); sisters-in-law, Wavey (Randy), Margaret Brown, Mary Brown, as well as a number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Warren’s Funeral Home, Dildo, on Saturday, June 1, at 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. then at the Cavendish Community Centre on Sunday, June 2, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon. The funeral service will be held from the Cavendish Community Centre on Sunday, June 2, at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at the Cavendish United Church Cemetery.
