THREE BROOKS – Eileen Roberta MacCarthy, 85, of the Valley View Villa, Riverton, and formerly of Three Brooks, passed away June 3, 2013 in the Villa.
Born in Three Brooks, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Annie (Redmond) Grant.
Eileen worked at Hamilton’s Biscuits and the Registry of Deeds. She was a member of the Princess Rebekah Lodge No. 4, Pictou and was an avid Bingo player. Eileen was also a huge Pittsburgh Penguins and Sidney Crosby fan.
She is survived by sons, Grant (Lori), Three Brooks and Allan, Caribou Island; daughter, Anne (Wayne) Grealey, Three Brooks; grandchildren: Kailyn, Cha and Regan MacCarthy; Adar, Kyra and Tala Grealey.
She was predeceased by her husband, Richie; brother, Sumner.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Thursday 7-9 p.m., and funeral service at 2 p.m. Friday, both in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou. Burial will be in the Central Caribou Cemetery.
