RICHARD TODD
Born In: WEELAND
Passed in: Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Canada
TODD, RICHARD DOUGLAS - It is with great sadness that the passing
of Rick is announced on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 after a brief illness, at
Victoria Union Hospital, Prince Albert, Sk. Rick was born in Welland,
Ontario on October 12, 1949, the first of three children to Joan and
John (deceased) Todd. Rick grew up loving sports like football, golf,
and keeping fit, sharing these activities with a few lifelong buddies.
Rick married Shirley (nee Horwood) in August 1995, after meeting
in Georgetown, Ontario through mutual friends, and in October,
moved to P.A., buying a house a year later. Over the years while
working full-time, Rick still found time for golf, baseball, and
photography receiving much acclaim at P.A. and Saskatoon
exhibitions. Rick made many lasting friendships with co-workers, and
management, and helped a few clients with mental health problems
accomplish some of life’s hurdles to become more confident and
productive members of the community. The Todds left to carry on
include his mother Joan (Georgetown, Ontario), sister Vicki (Millon,
Ontario), and brother Chris and Bella and their family (Air Ronge, SK).
Cremation has taken place. There will be no burial service. Interment
will be with his father John in Georgetown Cemetery in the summer.
A special thank you to all who knew Rick, for the love and support he
received in P.A. People change without knowing why. As expressions
of sympathy, and for research and a better understanding of mental
health, donations would be gratefully received by: Canadian Mental
Health Association - Prince Albert Branch, 1322 Central Avenue,
Prince Albert, SK, S6V 4W3 or: Schizophrenia Society - Saskatoon

your favorite moments spent with Rick, send a note to: S.Todd, C/o
1567 Nairn Avenue, London, Ontario, N5V 2P4. I will cherish the
many memories of fun, adventure, and challenges over the last 17
years. Rick, you left us way too soon. I will look after Jackie and
Squirt your best friends, as long as necessary. God bless you and
give you peace. - Shirley Todd.
