Peacefully in her sleep, at her late residence, of Huntington’s Disease, on Thursday, July 3, 2008, of Glenda Doreen (nee Cole) Hurst, of Summerside, age 54 years. Born in Glace Bay, Cape Breton, N.S., she was the daughter of Mary Margaret (nee Penny) Cole, Glace Bay, N.S., and the late Allan Uriah Cole. Beloved wife of Stephen Richard Hurst and mother of Kristi-Jayne, Toronto, Ont.; Laurel, London, England; Jenna, Ottawa, Ont.; and Allison, Wolfville, N.S. Survived by her sisters, Marilyn (Jimmy) MacMullin, Donkin, N.S.; Judy Cole, Clarenville, N.L.; brother Sam Cole, Glace Bay, N.S.; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a brother, Allan Thomas Cole. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2008, at the Summerside Presbyterian Church at 10:30 a.m.. Interment in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Valley. Memorial donations to the Huntington Society of Canada, for research and family care, would be appreciated.
