Guy, Walter passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on June 9, 2013, at the age of 71. Born in Grand Falls-Winsor, Walter was the son of the late Albert and Mary Guy. Walter is survived by his wife Sharon of 10 years and by his children Wally (Deanna) Guy, Robert Guy (Janice McClaren), Freeman Guy (Sheri Johnson), late Dennis Guy, Judy Kelloway (Walter Soo), Derrick (Tammy) Guy, Darrin Guy (Wendy Boil), and Randy Guy (Patricia Hurd), brothers; Albert, Nelson, Eddie and George. Walter will also be missed by his 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by his stepdaughter Marlene (Don) Fleetwood and their son Nathan, stepson Randy Geldart (Fiona), his daughters Courtney Sharon and Marissa, and step-great-granddaughter Kaydence. Walter will also be missed by his in-laws and by his many nieces and nephews. Visitation was held at Fair Haven Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 11, 2013. A celebration of Walter’s life was held in the Chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 12 at 2 p.m. The family would like to thank the nursing staff on the 4th floor at the Moncton Hospital for their compassion. A reception will follow in the Garden View Room. Interment will be at the Pentecostal Cemetery in Embree, Newfoundland.
