BROWN, CHARLOTTE - At the Fundy Nursing Home, Blacks Harbour, NB on June 12, 2013, Ms. Charlotte Blanche Brown, formerly of Beaver Harbour, NB. Born at Blacks Harbour, NB on December 22, 1917, she was a daughter of the late Barney and Bertha (Currier) Justason. A loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister, Charlotte is survived by one son, Stewart (Lorreen) Brown of Beaver Harbour, NB, two daughters; Lydia (Patrick) LaPointe of Fredericton, NB and Nina Szemerda (Brian Spear) of Utopia, NB, seven grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, one sister, Eunice Fraser of Utopia, NB and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, Charlotte was predeceased by one daughter, Bertha Brown. Prior to retirement, Charlotte worked as a Sardine Packer for Connors Brothers for many years. Following retirement she continued on as a hard worker being self dependent doing her own carpentry, woodwork and roofing. She also kept busy delivering groceries and parcels to everyone in the area. In her down time, Charlotte enjoyed knitting and all who knew her had a pair of socks made by her. She will also be remembered for her amazing cooking skills, especially her donuts. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
Resting at the St. George Funeral Home & Crematorium (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George, NB from where the service will be held from the Gary E. Waycott Memorial Chapel on Friday at 2 pm with Rev. Eric Oram officiating, followed by the interment at the Pennfield Rural Cemetery. Visiting at the funeral home will take place on Thursday from 7 to 9 pm. In Charlotte’s memory, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
