Passed away peacfully at her residence in Marystown on June 13, 2013 Jessie Dorcus Thorne originally from Chance Cove, Trinity Bay surrounded by family and friends. Leaving to mourn four sons and their spouses Alfred JR (Josephia) of Marystown, Cyril (Barbra) of Chance Cove, Lindo (Verna) of Chance Cove, Donald (Joan) of Marystown and three daughters Marion (Nathan) of Chance Cove, Caroline (Edgar) of Chance Cove and Lorraine (Fred) of Marystown, from where she resided. 15 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren whom she cherished. Her brother James, sisters Sadie and Ivy. Also her special caregiver Sandra and a large number of relatives and friends. Predeceased by husband Alfred 1984, son Dermet 1966, mother and father Albert and Emily Reid, brother Samuel, sisters Elizabeth and Victoria. Resting at Holloway`s Funeral Home in Whitbourne on June 15, 7:00 - 9:00 pm, June 16, 10 am - 1:00 pm. - 3:00 pm at the Anglican Church, Chance Cove. June 17, 10 am until of time of funeral. Funeral service will be held from the Anglican Church, Chance Cove on June 17, at 2:00 pm. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Chance Cove.
