Sharon Ann Oliver born October 20,
1941, daughter of the late William and
Marjorie Oliver of St. John's, NL,
passed away from a big heart on June
16, 2013. While this may have been
sudden it comes as no surprise. She
loved her sports and volunteering
bingos, and regularly attended the
grandkids sporting events and activities to support them
in all their challenges and goals. Regular member with
the Eagles and the Legion we know she will be sorely
missed by all her friends including Lorraine, Caroline and
Claire. Well travelled and ready to go, whether it was
zip-lining over Vegas, rafting, camping, or trips to the
mountains including the Alps, the Rockies and recently
Gros Morne.
She is survived by her children Brian (Anna)
grandchildren Rebecca and Laura; Marjorie (Wilmur),
and Michael Cormier and her family back home brother
Peter (Margaret) and his sons Gregory (Lisa) grandniece
Jenna; and Stephen (Wendy) Oliver and their mother
Rowie. Predeceased by her brother William Oliver and her
spouse Neil Giddons.
Visitation at Prairie Sunset Funeral Home Chapel,
109-15 Circle Drive, St. Albert, Thursday, June 20, 2013
from 6-9 pm. The celebration of her life will be at the
Eagles Club, 23 Roland Cr., St. Albert, Friday, June 21,
