PICTOU – Mary Elizabeth (Blaisdell) Brown, 79, of Pictou, passed away June 20, 2013 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born August 10, 1933 in Dingwell, Prince Edward Island, she was the daughter of the late Allan and Effie (Lutz) Blaisdell.
She worked at Michelin for 20 years and loved to bowl, play darts and bingo.
Mary is survived by daughters, Sarah Laybolt, Bernice Blaisdell, both of Pictou; sons, Kenneth (Dana), New Glasgow; Leonard, Pictou; sister, Rose Strickland, P.E.I.; brother, Allan, Pictou; 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.
Mary was predeceased by husband, Raymond MacDonald; daughters, Irene and Linda, son, Ricky and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., funeral service will be held Monday at 11 a.m., both in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou, with Pastor Bruce Morrison officiating. Burial will be in the Stella Maris Parish Cemetery, Pictou.
Memorial donations may be made to the Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care Society.
