Passed peacefully away at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, on Sunday, August 3, 2008, age 85. Daughter of the late Leonard and Janet Sheppard, Harbour Grace South, Newfoundland, she is predeceased by her five sisters and three brothers. Survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Noel S. Facey, sons Noel (Beverly), Tony (Linda); daughters Beverley (Sidney Peddle), Janet (John Prentice), sisters-in-law Doreen Facey (St. John’s) and Patricia Facey (England), brother-in-law, Roy Ash (St. John’s), 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She also leaves a large circle of nieces, nephews and close friends, including special friend Ramona Woolridge, Corner Brook, Newfoundland. A funeral service will be held in Prince Edward Island at St. Mark’s Anglican Church, South Rustico, on Tuesday, August 5, at 7 p.m. Burial will take place in Newfoundland at a later date. No flowers by request. Memorial donations may be made to the Janeway Children’s Hospital, St. John’s, Newfoundland.
