With sad hearts we announce that Jim passed away peacefully on June 22, 2013.

He was predeceased by his loving wife Helen and eldest son Allan.

He will be lovingly missed by his son Colin and daughter-in-law (Allan) Debbie Varty. Forever cherished by his grandchildren Bobbi (Brian) Brown, Jacki (Brad) Cook, Christina Varty and Ryan Varty. Great grandchildren Zachary, Justice, Isaiah, Elijah, Levi Brown, Noah, Wyatt, Dawson Cook, Nicholas, Elizabeth Varty, Domanic, Jonathan Riley Varty. "We love you Grampa." Jim will be lovingly remembered by all his remaining family and friends especially Nelly Olsen.

Jim worked for the B.C. Fish and Wildlife for 35 years where he made many great lifelong friends before retiring. He loved fishing and all that went with the outdoors. He relished in the comradely of his cowboy and fishing friends and the adventures they took. Jim enjoyed a good game of crib and spending quality time with his family and friends. Jim was a kind and very generous man who loved playing pranks and making everyone laugh.

Jim will be deeply missed
and always in our hearts.

Funeral Services will be held at the Kamloops Funeral Home on Saturday, June 29th, viewing at 12:00 p.m. and service to commence at 1:00 p.m. with reception to follow downstairs, potluck welcome. Please come share your memories of Jim with friends and family.
