Mom passed away peacefully with family at her side in Kamloops B.C., her battle with Alzheimer's over.

She was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Herbert, her parents Ida and Austin Hickey, and her sister Florence (Campbell).

She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by her children Neil (Sandra), Alan (Maisie), and Gail (Raymond) Stowe; her seven grandchildren Rachel, Aaron, Kirsten, Jessica, Jori, Lara and Jordan; six great-grandchildren, as well as her sister Joan Blake and brothers Austin Jr., Jack, George, Ray & Don.

Mom was born and raised in Kapuskasing Ont., where she met and married Dad on August 16th, 1946. In 1957 they moved to Port Alberni, B.C. where they resided until they retired to Ship's Point in 1982. Mom moved to Kamloops B.C. after Dad's death in September 2007 where she remained until her passing.

Mom was a feisty lady who enjoyed a good laugh and a lively tune. She was very active throughout her life and she enjoyed sewing, travelling, Xmas, many crafts, playing bingo, bowling and perhaps most of all, shopping.

The family would like to thank the staff of Ridgeview Lodge for their care and compassion during mom's time there and her subsequent passing.

There will be no formal service by request; and donations can be made to the charity of choice.
