On Wednesday, August 6, 2008, God’s Angels took Ann Catherine “Katie” Power to Heaven. Katie was living in Charlottetown and was formerly of Montreal, Quebec; Niagara Falls, Ontario, and Pleasant Grove, P.E.I. She was the daughter of the late Simon and Mary (Curran) Power. She will be lovingly remembered by nieces, Mrs. Mary Jane Schmidt, of Mt. Morris, Michigan; Mrs. Rita Vogel of Weidman, Michigan; Rosemary (Armond) Boyer of Clio, Michigan; Patricia (Wilson) Hemingway of Genesee, Michigan, nephew James Michael (Sandy) Power of Flint, Michigan, as well as many great, great-great and great-great-great nieces and nephews in the United States and many cousins in P.E.I. She was also predeceased by her niece, Catherine Elaine Power of Mt. Morris, Michigan. Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home until 10 on Friday morning, then transferred to St. Eugene’s Church, Covehead, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow in St. Eugene’s Parish Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. If so desired, memorial contributions in Katie’s memory may be made to St. Eugene’s Parish Cemetery Fund.
