It is with sadness that we, the family, of Jane Forbes announce her passing on Monday, July 1, at the Glace Bay Hospital.
Born in New Aberdeen, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Harriett (Fry) Fahey.
Jane was a resident of Victoria Haven Nursing Home for the last several years. She enjoyed bowling and in her younger years played softball.
She is survived by her children, Teresa (Dodo) (Ron) Decoste, Glace Bay, Jane (Harvey) MacDonald, Mira, Ruben (Emiline), Glace Bay, Billy (Susan) Toronto; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson; brothers Tommy (Betty) New Zealand, Johnny (Viola) On; daughter-in-law Gloria.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Everett; son Thomas; granddaughter Gloria Jean; sisters Josephine, Florence, Alice, Isabelle, Lily, Annie; brothers Alex, Walter, Maurice, Billy.
There will be no visitation at Jane’s request. A private family service will take place at a later date. Cremation has taken place under the care of Curry’s Funeral Home, 775 Main St., Glace Bay.
