SURETTE, Marguerite “Irene” – 91, of Sluice Point, passed away on July 2, 2013 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born on March 23, 1922, in Sluice Point, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Actime and Marie Anita (Bourque) Surette. Irene is survived by her siblings, Regina Bourque, Massachusettes; Frances Surette, Tusket; Alfred Surette, Sluice Point; Marion Surette, Halifax. She was predeceased by her siblings, Louis Surette, Lena Robichaud, Evelyn Comeau, Rose Emma Sowyrda and Thérèse Surette. Funeral arrangements were under the care and direction of H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth. Visitation was held Wednesday, July 3, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with prayers at 8 p.m. A funeral mass was held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 4 in Holy Family Catholic Church, Amirault’s Hill, Father Maurice LeBlanc officiated. An interment was held in the parish cemetery following the service.
